PORTRAIT OF YOUNG GIRL. Another wonderful early 19th century American, "Charles L. Fenton" three-quarter oil on canvas portrait of a child. This one is sitting on a ledge in a soft pink dress and applique holding a pigeon. Scattered next to her are an assortment of peppermint candies. While off in the distance is a river valley landscape. Great detail in the sweetness of her face. This too has been highly cleaned. Measures 31.25" x 26.25" in a newer frame. Circa 1830 to 1840.
